Yalın is leading the Dispute Resolution Practice of the Istanbul office. He acts as a litigator, representing clients in complex commercial disputes and provides assistance to his clients in all fields of dispute resolution. His practice includes litigating before Turkish courts on all matters involving commercial law and code of obligations, and on lawsuits concerning the enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign court decisions. In addition, Yalın also focuses on particular disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions and shareholder relations and also has a lot of experience in assisting Turkish companies in their disputes outside Turkey. Yalın has been involved in a considerable number of the high-profile disputes generated by Turkish companies in the recent decade and has unique credentials in respect of those, especially those with an international element.
Yalın is also providing assistance to his clients on various arbitrations and arbitration-related matters and off-shore disputes, arbitrations and litigations.
On the other hand, he is leading the NPL team of the Istanbul office and was involved in the due diligence of all of the very substantial non-performing loan portfolio sales in Turkey and was also involved in all aspects of loan portfolio transfer transactions and their documentation and structuring and regulatory aspects. Yalın was involved in all of the benchmark loan portfolio transactions in Turkey. Yalın has worked in transactions involving many different asset management companies and has a very solid track record on these mandates as well. Yalın also plays an active role in the drafting of restructuring agreements and bankruptcy and insolvency related matters.
Together with his litigation experience, Yalın has a solid corporate experience too, being involved in some of the most significant merger and acquisition, real estate and privatization projects in Turkey since 2004. This also provides a unique positioning for Yalın, as a litigator with also transactional experience, thereby better understanding the needs and case-specific traits in high profile SPA and SHA disputes and international commercial arbitrations.
